The programme has been developed for newly recruited staff and workers returning to the sector.
The care certificate is the current 'Induction' standard for Health and Social Care Workers new to care to undertake knowledge assessment criteria and workplace assessment within 12 weeks.
Mitera training provides a 3-day programme to cover the knowledge and understanding criteria within the Care Certificate and the Safe Handling of Medication.
Upon completion, the Care worker will receive their certificates. A handy observation booklet is also provided to record the evidence witnessed in the workplace. This course is a three-day online Training.

How Long Does a Care Certificate Last? The Care Certificate is designed to be 'portable', i.e. it can be taken by a care worker from one employer to another. This means once you have it, is does not expire, so in theory your Care Certificate lasts for your whole career without you needing to renew it.
