Fully Funded by Skills for Care, the Rapid Induction Programme is delivered virtually or via elearning. The programme has been developed for newly recruited staff and workers returning to the sector.
This training includes: the Care Certificate | Moving and Handling of People | Food Safety | Medication Awareness.
The Care Certificate is the current ‘Induction’ standard for Health and Social Care and requires Care Workers new to care to undertake knowledge assessment criteria and workplace assessment criteria within the first 12 weeks. Mitera Training Academy provide a 3 day programme to cover the knowledge and understanding criteria within the Care Certificate as well as the Safe Handling of Medication.
Upon completion the Care Worker will receive their certificates. A handy observation booklet is also provided to record the evidence witnessed in the workplace.
Prerequisites
- Employers must have a Adult Social Care- Workforce DataSet (ASC-WDS) account. If you do not have an account then one can be created here.
- Employees must be newly recruited to or returning to the sector.
- Employees must not of accessed the Rapid Induction and Essential funding in the past 12 months.
- Eployees must be able to complete all aspects of the programme either by elearning or virtually.
What is the Main Aim of the Course?
As we continue to follow social-distancing and other restrictions due to COVID-19, as defined in the Government’s roadmap, Skills for Care still encourage you to use digital solutions to deliver and access training, as far as is practicable.
This programme is designed to provide the knowledge based criteria and discuss skills and competence for working in an Adult Social Care setting.
